From August 27th to 28th, 2020, Beijing time, the third IEEE International Symposium on Integrated Circuits and Systems (ISICAS) was successfully concluded in two days.
The ISICAS conference is a special conference established by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Branch. Conference papers need to contain the test results of the chip and be directly submitted to the IEEE journal. Only papers accepted by the journal can be presented at the conference. A total of 196 submissions were received at this conference, and there are 88 papers accepted by IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-I ()、IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-II()、IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems(TBioCAS)and IEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems(). The content covers analog and digital circuits, radio frequency receivers, sensors, data converters, power management, etc. The conference included two keynote speeches and 17 branch venues.

The keynote speeches of this conference were brought by Professor Kaushik Roy from Purdue University and Professor Shaojun Wei from Tsinghua University. The topics of the speeches were: Resistive Crossbars as Matrix-Vector Multiplication Engine for Machine Learning Applications: Opportunities and Challenges and Software-defined AI Chip-from the perspective of Architecture Innovation.

This year's ISICAS was originally scheduled to be held in Shanghai, but due to the impact of the epidemic, it was changed to be held online. The speeches in the 17 sub-venues were provided by the author with a 15-minute speech video, which was uploaded to the conference platform about a week before the start of the conference and provided to conference registrants for viewing in advance. During the conference, the authors of each paper give a short 5-minute speech and a 5-minute Q&A time to promote more extensive communication between the authors and the participants.

Non-paper authors of this conference can also register for free. More than 400 scholars have completed registration. In addition, the keynote speech was not only carried out in the form of a Zoom conference, but also was simultaneously broadcast live on the Bilibili live broadcast platform, and its popularity totaled more than 3000.

This conference provided a valuable sharing opportunity for scholars in the field of integrated circuits and systems around the world. It not only aroused the research interest and enthusiasm of scholars at home and abroad, but also further enhanced the influence of the integrated circuit industry. The next conference is planned to be held in Singapore in August 2021.
