Abstract:
Congratulations to Professor Wang Guoxing for being re-elected as the Vice President of the International Electrical Electonics Engineers (IEEE) Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) for a term of 2021-2022.
Congratulations to Professor Wang Guoxing for being re-elected as the Vice President of the International Electrical Electonics Engineers (IEEE) Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) for a term of 2021-2022. IEEE is the world's largest professional technical organization, with nearly 420,000 members in more than 160 countries. IEEE CASS is one of the largest societies under IEEE, with more than 10,000 members worldwide. In recent years, it has developed rapidly in China, and the number of members has increased year by year. As of 2020, it has 740 members in mainland China.
Professor Wang Guoxing was elected to this position for the first time in 2019. In the past two years, together with the management team of the IEEE Circuit and System Society, he has made outstanding contributions to the development of the IEEE Circuit and System Society, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. Under the special circumstances of the global epidemic in 2020, the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society has maintained a good situation in terms of membership services, international conferences, international journals, and technological development. Professor Wang Guoxing said: "I am very pleased to be elected to this position again. I am very honored to have the opportunity to continue to work with international colleagues to promote the technological development of circuits and systems and to make the Society a better global cooperation platform."
he fields covered by IEEE CASS include circuit theory analysis, design and related applications, and cover applications of circuit theory in systems and signal processing and control. The journals published by IEEE CASS include IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-I (TCAS-I), IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-II (TCAS-II), IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems (TBioCAS) and IEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems (OJCAS), etc; international conferences held include The International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), The International Symposium on Integrated Circuits and Systems (ISICAS) and Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference (BioCAS), etc.
Wang Guoxing graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree in 1996, received a master's degree from Tsinghua University in 1999, and a doctorate in engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2006. Worked at Second Sight Medical Products and Agere Systems in the United States and Huawei in China. He is currently the secretary, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Micro-Nanoelectronics of Shanghai Jiaotong University/National Demonstrative Institute of Microelectronics. Mainly engaged in energy-efficient integrated circuit design, intelligent brain-computer interface chip and system research. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems.
